In Lithuania we have this saying: Happy people do not count their time.
Happy People can become unhappy very fast, especially when he knows that his neighbor jus won a jack pot. The reverse process is very slow. Unless his neighbor loses something important like car, valet or soul mate. Lithuanian people I can describe as a quite slow people, who always are unhappy. They can count and find out their number of bad days more that good ones. They also can count other people money and feel unhappy, when they find out that the amount is bigger than theirs. In that case, every day become bad day, even Sundays. On Sundays they are counting the bottles (like they are resting) and killing themselves (like looking for the meaning of life).
Teenagers count their pimples, women – wrinkles and Grey hair, then they becomes depressed.
If we would look back we could see that the more people are counting, the unhappy they are. Does you happiness depends on the number?
What are the real objects that are worth of your attention?
Count stars – it is a lot of it. Love – it is endless. Kisses – you will always want it. Cups of coffee that you drink with your friends – until you lose the number. Teddy bears that you receive on your birthday – so that you could have a collection or something to sleep with, when you will feel lonely.
And hours when you felt happy.
